Mo Tat (模達) is a small village in south Lamma, Hong Kong, on the spur of land that juts east and faces Aberdeen. The village is composed of three different areas: Mo Tat Wan (模達灣) along the beach, Mo Tat Sun Tsuen (模達新村; "Mo Tat New Village") on the hill and Mo Tat in the valley. The village has no shops or commercial centre, although there is a restaurant near the ferry pier. ==Luxury Project Plan== A luxury project including a marina, spanning across Tung O Wan to the northern part of the bay, hotel, residential homes and 500 berths for yachts has been proposed by a joint venture between Agile Property Holdings, a Hong Kong-listed company focusing on mainland real estate, and local company King Wong Development.. The nearby waters would become a venue for international sailing races like the Volvo Ocean Race. A six-star spa hotel at Shek Pai Wan remains in the blueprint and new roads are proposed to provide access. The developer will also suggest preserving abandoned houses in the 300-year-old Mo Tat Old Village as a cultural heritage spot, and setting up organic farms in the area. The development site boundary would be 200 to 300 metres away from Sham Wan, a nesting ground for the endangered green turtle in the south of Lamma which is listed by the government as a "site of special scientific interest" with restricted entry.
